About this Program

Yet Keen is currently operating remotely and on online platforms due to COVID.

Yet Keen Seniors’ Day Centre is a SWCHC program that promotes the physical and mental wellbeing of Chinese-speaking seniors. As a drop-in centre, Yet Keen typically opens four days a week between Tuesday and Friday from 9:30-3:30pm.

Our goal is to reduce isolation, increase social connection, and to promote the physical and mental wellbeing of Chinese-speaking seniors in Ottawa. Members of Yet Keen participate in a variety of recreational activities to stay active, connected, and engaged.

During COVID, the centre is offering vibrant programming on virtual and phone platforms. This includes exercise classes, mental health groups, holiday celebrations as well as learning opportunities for seniors. In addition, Yet Keen provides seniors with practical and emotional support, referrals, outreach, and volunteer opportunities.
