About this Program

Anonymous HIV testing at Somerset West CHC offers testing at outreach locations in the city and on-site during testing hours. A variety of testing locations are listed below, including a schedule of upcoming testing opportunities.


Testing locations


General testing hours: 55 Eccles (Mondays from 12:00 to 2:00 pm)

  • Anonymous HIV testing available to anyone (14+) by appointment or walk-in (first come, first served). Appointments can be booked by call or text at (613) 295-9574.

  • Mondays from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at Somerset West Community Health Centre, 55 Eccles Street (ground floor). Please ask for anonymous testing when you arrive.


2SLGBTQ+ evening clinic: MAX Ottawa

  • Anonymous HIV testing available to 2SLGBTQ+ community members by appointment or walk-in (first come, first served). Appointments can be booked by call or text at (613) 295-9574.

  • Tuesdays* from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at MAX Ottawa (400 Cooper Street, unit 9004).

  • *Testing is unavailable on the last Tuesday of each month.


University of Ottawa: Student Health and Wellness Centre

  • Students and members of the on-campus community can book an appointment for anonymous HIV testing online, by phone with the Wellness Lounge, or in-person during hours of operation. To learn more, please visit their website.

  • Wednesdays by appointment at the University of Ottawa (September to April).


Other community outreach testing sites

  • We offer anonymous HIV testing in the community at various locations serving communities disproportionately impacted by HIV. These sites are flexible and vary. To learn more about outreach testing, feel free to reach out to us by call or text at (613) 295-9574.

Please note that walk-in anonymous HIV testing is available at the following community health centres:


Alternatively, HIV and STBBI testing is available through Get a Kit at www.getakit.ca.


STBBI testing and PrEP for HIV prevention is available with the Ottawa PrEP Clinic. For more information, please visit www.prepclinic.ca.


Free condoms and dental dams are available through Sex it Smart by Ottawa Public Health.
