  • Jul 23, 2025
  • 1 min read

In 2021, we lost a friend, an ally and a fierce advocate for love, understanding, and community support. Carl Reinboth was a dedicated outreach worker who devoted his life to helping others.

Somerset West has created the Mr. Carl Reinboth Award to commemorate Carl's legacy and to recognize the outstanding commitment of those working in harm reduction in Ottawa. This award honours an individual in the field of harm reduction who shows radical compassion for people who use drugs, and collaborates with people, organizations and communities to achieve better client care.

The individual being nominated must:

- Live or work in Ottawa

- Work in the field of harm reduction

- Be committed to working with others to positively impact the lives of those around them, with a focus on people who use drugs

Deadline for nominations:

Nominations must be submitted by midnight (12:00 am) on Friday, August 15th, 2025.

How to nominate someone:

Please complete the form below to submit a nomination. If you can not access the nominations form below, you can open it in a new tab by clicking here.

I found it really touching that the award highlights dedication to patient care and community impact—it feels like a meaningful way to honor Mr. Reinboth’s legacy. It made me think about how recognition like this can motivate people in small, consistent ways, even beyond formal awards. The idea of balancing responsibilities and making a difference reminds me a bit of how students manage stress with things like Nursing Assignment Help online. Do you think nominations usually come from colleagues who see the day-to-day effort, or more from formal achievements?

Stumbled on a conversation that maintained a calm and thoughtful tone while comparing Canadian online gaming environments. Instead of listing features, contributors were exploring how platforms hold up over time, how predictable interactions feel, and whether the overall structure supports consistent use. The lack of hype made the insights more convincing. It felt like reading something shaped by real experience rather than quick impressions. As I moved through the thread, I noticed Painted Hand Casino mentioned once, integrated smoothly into the broader discussion without any sense of promotion.

I keep a tab open with Crazyig for when I need a break during work. They have a decent collection of browser games that run smoothly without any lag. The racing and shooting categories are where I usually end up spending most of my time.

This is such a meaningful initiative—honoring Carl Reinboth’s legacy by recognizing people who lead with compassion, collaboration, and real community impact is incredibly powerful. Awards like this remind us that harm reduction work is not only essential but deeply human, especially for those supporting vulnerable individuals in Ottawa. It’s inspiring to see organizations celebrate people who create safer, more understanding spaces for others. In a different academic context, the same values of service and social responsibility often shape research areas too, including Accounting Dissertation Topics that explore ethics, public accountability, and community-focused financial systems. Wishing all nominees the recognition they truly deserve, and thank you to Somerset West for continuing to uplift the people doing this vital work. Initiatives like…
